Tratamiento Nutricional de la Tuberculosis

Las vitaminas y los minerales juegan un papel vital en el tratamiento de la Tuberculosis.

El uso de suplementos nutricionales en la fase precoz del tratamiento puede mejorar los resultados de los pacientes con Tuberculosis. El tratamiento nutricional para aumentar el consumo de energía combinado con los suplementos produce un aumento de peso significativo, un aumento en la masa corporal magra total y mejora la función física a partir de 6 semanas.

La restauración de la nutrición puede mejorar la función del sistema inmune, mejorando así la eliminación
del mucobacterium bacilli, lo cual puede, a su vez, reducir el nivel infeccioso del paciente.
